Khoodeelaar! ‘No to Crossrail hole’ Bill, action in
2008:
Objections to the CrossRail Bill, to the UK
House of Lords.
Grounds against the ‘CrossRail Bill’ as at 1100 Hrs
GMT on Tuesday 8 January 2008 include the following
THAT
1. The contents of the ‘Crossrail Bill’ are NOT
Compatible with the ‘Conventions’. The ‘Conventions’
are as contained in the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms
2. The promotion of the ‘Crossrail Bill’ has been done
by unconstitutional, undemocratic, unaccountable and
untruthful ways as evident in the relevant behaviour
over the past four years of the UK Secretary State for
Transport [there have been three holders, in
succession, of that post of Secretary of State since
February 2005 when the actual Bill was introduced in
the House of Commons]
3. The procedures adopted by the ‘House of Commons’
‘Crossrail Bill Select committee’ were contrary to the
Conventions [=the European Convention for the
Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms].
4. The conduct of the ‘House of Commons’ ‘Crossrail
Bill Select committee’ and the obstructions put by that committee in the way of the objectors to the Crossrail hole Bill were contrary to the
Conventions [=the European Convention for the
Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms].
5. The restrictions attaching to the remits and the
agenda as imposed on the ‘House of Commons ‘Crossrail
Bill Select committee’ at Second Reading in the House
of Commons [19 July 2005] were and have been contrary
to the ‘Conventions’ [=the European Convention for the
Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms]
6. The purpose of the ‘Crossrail Bill’ is fabricated, exaggerated, mis-described and or mis-defined by the for a promoter and that purpose is at the
centre of the effects that have been contained in it
as they will apply to the community in the Brick Lane,
Whitechapel and `Stepney London E1 Area and as they
will apply to the adjacent, relevant and wider
geographical, demographic, economic, social and
environmental areas and as covered by, caused by,
implied by the present ‘CrossRail Bill’
